For the first time (in forever) a Frozen-themed land is opening at a Disney park—Hong Kong Disneyland, to be precise. Here is everything you need to know about the grand opening of the World of Frozen.

After years of waiting, fans of Frozen fare can rejoice: Disney officially announced that the World of Frozen opens in November of 2023. We don’t have an exact date yet, but do expect it to be announced soon. As discussed in my previous post with all of the details about the World of Frozen, the land at Hong Kong will be the first of the Frozen-dedicated lands to open at any Disney Park. No big deal.

The World of Frozen will be located between Fantasyland and Toy Story Land, and feature the Frozen Ever After dark ride boat attraction, and most exciting, Wandering Oaken’s Sliding Sleighs–the first Frozen-themed coaster. A first look at the coaster posted by the Disney Parks Blog confirmed my prediction that the coaster looks to be similar in size and experience to Seven Dwarfs Mine Train at the Magic Kingdom.

According to Disney, a unique character experience will be at the “Playhouse in the Woods.” Expect loads of Norwegian and Frozen-inspired souvenirs and dining options, too.

I am excited that we have an official opening month for the World of Frozen and I am eager to learn even more about this sure-to-be popular land. Do you plan on going on opening day?
